Duties of the lecturer / teaching fellow will include: - Full-time teaching (typically 20 hours of classroom teaching per week and other teaching commitments); - Working with the faculty on projects or assignments in an area of professional interest or expertise (e.g. assessment, curriculum development, materials design, professional development); - Engaging in language and cultural exchange extracurricular activities.
1. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a closely-related field. They should also have a strong background in teaching English for Academic Purposes or English for Specific Purposes at the tertiary level. 2. Professional knowledge of EAP/ESP teaching and materials development is an advantage. 3. Native speaker is expected. Ability to speak Chinese is not required. The candidate should be willing to engage in the ELC's committee works and projects as assigned.
