Dundee International Institute of Central South University (DIICSU) is a non-independent legal entity and a Sino-Foreign cooperative educational institution established with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (license number: MOE43UKA02DNR20212173N). It has been jointly organized by Central South University (CSU) and the University of Dundee (UoD), UK. DIICSU has five undergraduate majors - Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Computing Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering with Transportation. To better support our students, we are now hiring English for Academic Purposes Tutors.
Vacancy:
1 English for Academic Purposes Tutor
We welcome both domestic and global applications.
Duties:
1. To work as part of a team, teaching undergraduate Science and Engineering students at the Dundee International Institute of Central South University (DIICSU).
2. To teach two semesters and a possible summer school during the academic year.
3. To show an understanding of a discoursal approach to teaching English for general and specific academic purposes.
4. To prepare lessons, maintain teaching records, assess students’ work, provide feedback to students, and participate in cultural and educational events, induction events and in assessment and team meetings.
5. To engage with institutional and departmental level quality assurance processes, including both peer and management observations of your teaching.
6. To demonstrate a commitment to professional self-development.
7. To cover the classes of absent colleagues, as required.
8. To undertake other additional duties from time to time as necessary.
Personal Requirements
Essential | |
1. Education / Qualifications | · Master’s Degree or above · Native English speakers are preferred. · Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CELTA. Support may be available for exceptional candidates to undertake a CELTA course, but candidates must get the certificate before July 2025. |
2. Work and other Relevant Experience | · Recent experience of successfully working in an English for Academic Purposes teaching role, ideally in a higher educational institution. · Competent user of online platforms e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Blackboard Ultra. |
3. Competencies and Skills | · Ability to plan and deliver interactive teaching sessions. · Ability to grade assessments in line with established criteria. |
4. Personal Qualities | · Good time management, organizational and planning skills. · Good presentation, oral and written communication skills. · Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. · Willingness to support colleagues and work as part of a team, but also able to use own initiative. |
Note: The duties of the post outlined above are not exhaustive and the role holder will be expected to be co-operative and flexible, undertaking other duties as may reasonably be required by the Head of English and DIICSU.

一、招聘崗位和人數(shù)
學(xué)術(shù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)人員：1名；不限國(guó)籍
二、崗位職責(zé)
1. 熟練運(yùn)用學(xué)術(shù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)方法，按英語(yǔ)教研組要求完成鄧迪國(guó)際學(xué)院各專(zhuān)業(yè)本科生學(xué)術(shù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)任務(wù)；
2. 按要求備課、保存教學(xué)檔案、進(jìn)行學(xué)生評(píng)估和反饋，定期參加教研組會(huì)議，按時(shí)參加文化類(lèi)、教育類(lèi)、培訓(xùn)類(lèi)等教研活動(dòng)；
3. 參與學(xué)院教學(xué)質(zhì)量監(jiān)控，如同行聽(tīng)課評(píng)價(jià)和督導(dǎo)聽(tīng)課評(píng)價(jià)等；
4. 定期參加個(gè)人能力提升項(xiàng)目；
5. 嚴(yán)格遵守學(xué)校數(shù)據(jù)保密協(xié)議要求；
6. 根據(jù)要求完成代課等任務(wù)，并承擔(dān)其他必要職責(zé)；
7. 接受學(xué)院和外方選派英語(yǔ)組長(zhǎng)的行政管理，對(duì)學(xué)院行政管理和英語(yǔ)文化建設(shè)提供必要支持；
8. 完成學(xué)院領(lǐng)導(dǎo)交辦的其他任務(wù)。
三、招聘條件
1. 申請(qǐng)者需具備碩士研究生及以上學(xué)歷，母語(yǔ)為英語(yǔ)者優(yōu)先；
2. 遵紀(jì)守法，品德優(yōu)良，具有良好的組織溝通能力、人際交往能力、抗壓能力、團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作能力；
3. 持有CELTA國(guó)際英語(yǔ)教學(xué)證書(shū)；表現(xiàn)特別突出的候選人可放寬至2025年7月前考取CELTA證書(shū)；
4. 具備近期學(xué)術(shù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)經(jīng)歷，曾在高等院校從事英語(yǔ)教學(xué)者優(yōu)先；
5. 熟悉學(xué)術(shù)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)方法，能夠熟練使用相關(guān)軟件，如Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Blackboard等。
6. 具有良好的時(shí)間管理能力、演講和表達(dá)能力，能與團(tuán)隊(duì)成員緊密配合。

六、聘用方式及待遇
1. 錄用人員實(shí)行勞務(wù)派遣，與派遣公司簽訂勞動(dòng)合同，由派遣公司派遣至中南大學(xué)鄧迪國(guó)際學(xué)院工作；
2. 錄用人員薪資面議，其工資、保險(xiǎn)及其他福利待遇參照《中南大學(xué)非事業(yè)編制人員管理暫行辦法》及學(xué)校有關(guān)政策執(zhí)行。
七、其他有關(guān)事項(xiàng)
1. 參加報(bào)名人員應(yīng)認(rèn)真填寫(xiě)報(bào)名材料，如與實(shí)際情況不符，一經(jīng)查實(shí)，取消錄用資格。
2. 上崗后如若發(fā)現(xiàn)已錄用人員有個(gè)人檔案材料、報(bào)名材料不實(shí)或其他弄虛作假行為等情況之一的，一律終止接收派遣，退回派遣公司。
