Speakers

Haohuan Fu

Professor of Tsinghua University, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Data and Information (iDI) at Tsinghua SIGS, Deputy Director of the National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen and Wuxi. He is a leading researcher working in the cross-section of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and Earth system science, he has pioneered the integration of these fields to enable large-scale scientific breakthroughs—including million-core-level climate and earthquake simulations.

Wenbo Ding

Associate professor of Tsinghua SIGS. He is leading the smart sensing and robotics (SSR) lab in SIGS. He received the B.E and Ph.D. degrees (both with the highest honors) from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, in 2011 and 2016, respectively, and then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA from 2016 to 2019.

Zhenyu Liu

Assistant Professor of Tsinghua SIGS. His research interests include statistical inference, sensing and localization, networked control, wireless communications, and quantum information science. He received the M.S. degree and the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Tsinghua University, and received the Ph.D. degree in networks and statistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2022.

Qualifications

1. A doctoral or equivalent degree in a relevant academic area is required.

2. Applicants for the tenure-track positions should have excellent academic research experience and development potential, as well as fluent English teaching and communication skills; Applicants for tenured Associate professors and professors should also have the corresponding world-class academic qualifications, vision and leadership.

3. A strong commitment to teaching and supervising postgraduate students is essential. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in and development of graduate courses and strong engagement with the core curriculum of Tsinghua SIGS. Supervision of PhD and MSc students and academic mentoring of trainees at all levels is also expected.
