優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目（海外）旨在吸引和鼓勵(lì)在自然科學(xué)、工程技術(shù)等方面已取得較好成績的海外優(yōu)秀青年學(xué)者（含非華裔外籍人才）回國（來華）工作，自主選擇研究方向開展創(chuàng)新性研究，促進(jìn)青年科學(xué)技術(shù)人才快速成長，培養(yǎng)一批有望進(jìn)入世界科技前沿的優(yōu)秀學(xué)術(shù)骨干，為科技強(qiáng)國建設(shè)貢獻(xiàn)力量。

申報(bào)條件

遵守中華人民共和國法律法規(guī)，具有良好的科學(xué)道德，自覺踐行新時(shí)代科學(xué)家精神；

出生日期在1986年1月1日(含)以后；

具有博士學(xué)位；

研究方向主要為自然科學(xué)、工程技術(shù)等；

在取得博士學(xué)位后至2026年4月15日前，一般應(yīng)在海外高校、科研機(jī)構(gòu)、企業(yè)研發(fā)機(jī)構(gòu)獲得正式教學(xué)或者科研職位，且具有連續(xù)36個(gè)月以上工作經(jīng)歷；在海外取得博士學(xué)位且業(yè)績特別突出的，可適當(dāng)放寬工作年限要求（不適用于通過中外聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)方式取得海外博士學(xué)位的情況）；在海外工作期間，同時(shí)擁有境內(nèi)帶薪酬職位的申請(qǐng)人，其境內(nèi)帶薪酬職位的工作年限不計(jì)入海外工作年限；

取得同行專家認(rèn)可的科研或技術(shù)等成果，且具有成為該領(lǐng)域?qū)W術(shù)帶頭人或杰出人才的發(fā)展?jié)摿Γ?/span>

申請(qǐng)人尚未全職回國（來華）工作，或者2025年1月1日以后回國（來華）工作。獲資助通知后須辭去海外工作并全職回國（來華）工作不少于3年；

重要提示：執(zhí)行國家科技人才計(jì)劃統(tǒng)籌銜接的相關(guān)要求。同層次國家科技人才計(jì)劃只能承擔(dān)一項(xiàng)，不能逆層次申請(qǐng)。

I. Hospital Profile

The hospital places its core emphasis on enhancing clinical specialties, ensuring integrated growth in healthcare, education, and research. It has secured recognition for 6 national-level and 17 provincial-level key clinical specialties. The institution also hosts 3 jointly established national research platforms and 10 provincial-level research centers. It has been honored as a provincial-level outstanding experts workstation and recognized as a leading unit in reforming ownership rights for scientific achievements in Sichuan.

As one of Sichuan's top three medical centers, the hospital has developed several leading specialty clusters that are influential both regionally and nationally. Notably, its Nuclear Medicine Department ranks 8th nationwide in the latest STEM (Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics) ranking for Chinese hospitals.

As the primary clinical college of Southwest Medical University, the hospital benefits from extensive educational resources. The university offers a doctoral program in clinical medicine, 8 master's programs in primary disciplines, and 11 professional master's degree programs. It also operates a postdoctoral research station and a provincial postdoctoral innovation base. Together, they have built a comprehensive medical education system that spans the entire life cycle and covers all aspects of health.

II. Project Introduction and Application Eligibility

(I) Project Introduction

The Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas) is designed to attract and encourage outstanding young overseas scholars (including non-ethnic Chinese foreign talents) who have achieved remarkable results in natural science, engineering technology and other fields to work in China. Recipients may independently select research directions to carry out innovative research, which will accelerate the growth of young scientific and technological talents, cultivate a group of outstanding academic backbones expected to enter the world's scientific and technological frontier, and contribute to the construction of a strong science and technology country.

(II) Application Eligibility

1. Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, possess good scientific ethics, and earnestly practice the spirit of scientists in the new era.

2. Born on or after January 1, 1986.

3. Hold a doctoral degree.

4. Main research directions cover natural science, engineering technology and other related fields.

5. After obtaining the doctoral degree and by April 15, 2026, the applicant shall have obtained a formal teaching or research position in overseas universities, research institutions or enterprise R&D institutions with at least 36 consecutive months of working experience. For those who obtained doctoral degrees overseas with exceptionally outstanding achievements, the working experience requirement may be appropriately relaxed (not applicable to those who obtained overseas doctoral degrees through Sino-foreign joint training). For applicants who hold paid positions in China while working overseas, the working years of such domestic paid positions shall not be included in the overseas working experience.

6. Have achieved scientific research or technological results recognized by peer experts, and possess the development potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in the relevant field.

7. The applicant has not yet returned to work in China on a full-time basis, or returned to work in China on a full-time basis on or after January 1, 2025. After receiving the funding notice, the applicant must resign from overseas positions and work in China on a full-time basis for no less than 3 years.

Important Note

Comply with the relevant requirements for the overall coordination and connection of national science and technology talent programs. An applicant may undertake only one national science and technology talent program at the same level, and shall not apply for programs at a lower level in reverse.

III. Support Provided

1. NSFC Funding

RMB 1-3 million for a 3-year period.

2. Remuneration Package

Competitive salary will be provided, and the hospital will fully assist applicants in applying for national, provincial and municipal talent programs to obtain superimposed support.

3. Research Matching Fund: Special research matching fund will be offered, with the maximum amount up to RMB 12 million.

4. Position and Enrollment

Direct appointment as Professor and PhD Supervisor, with priority guarantee for postgraduate enrollment quotas.
