未來技術(shù)學(xué)院作為香港科技大學(xué)（廣州）哲學(xué)碩士（MPhil）項目——紅鳥碩士項目 (RBM)的教育主體，下設(shè)紅鳥碩士基地、未來技術(shù)實驗室及紅鳥學(xué)創(chuàng)空間三大板塊。學(xué)院堅持“以學(xué)生為中心”的教育理念，創(chuàng)新性地應(yīng)用小組項目式學(xué)習(xí)方法，將交叉學(xué)科前沿知識與實踐能力培養(yǎng)深度融合，打造了全球獨創(chuàng)的紅鳥碩士培養(yǎng)體系。這一體系突破傳統(tǒng)教育范式，實現(xiàn)學(xué)生可遷移能力與跨學(xué)科知識的同步提升，成為AI時代引領(lǐng)高等教育變革的全球標桿。
The College of Future Technology (CFT), as the academic unit responsible for managing The HKUST(GZ) MPhil Program--the Red Bird MPhil Program, includes the Base of Red Bird MPhil, the Lab of Future Technology, and the Red Bird Maker Space. Adhering to a “student-centered” educational philosophy, CFT innovatively implements group project-based learning system, deeply integrating cutting-edge interdisciplinary knowledge with practical competency development to establish the world's unique Red Bird MPhil cultivation system. This groundbreaking system transcends conventional educational paradigms, enabling students to simultaneously develop transferable skills and interdisciplinary knowledge, thus becoming a global benchmark in leading the transformation of higher education for the AI era.

Under the “UNIFIED HKUST, COMPLEMENTARY CAMPUSES” framework, HKUST(GZ) and HKUST are separate legal entities with their own financial systems, but both maintain a consistency in high academic standards on faculty and program quality, while creating great synergy by sharing resources and complementing each other’s strengths.
HKUST(GZ) substitutes the conventional “school-based” academic structure with a unique “Hubs” and “Thrusts” framework. This unprecedented academic configuration in global higher education will facilitate cross-disciplinary education and research endeavors, especially in emerging and frontier disciplines. While holding steady the structure of 4 “Hubs”, HKUST(GZ) ensures that its “Thrusts” remain vigilant to the need for flexibility and adaptability, bracing themselves for the increasingly complex challenges of a rapidly-changing world. HKUST(GZ) comprises four Hubs, namely Function Hub, Information Hub, Systems Hub, Society Hub and 16 thrusts.
