In response to the increasingly complex challenges faced by the rapidly changing world, HKUST(GZ) adopts a brand-new and cross-disciplinary academic structure featuring “Hub” and “Thrust” to substitute the conventional one characterized by “school” and “department”, facilitating cross-disciplinary integration while vigorously developing emerging and frontier disciplines. CES provides students with academic-related services before their program major determined (usually the first and second year), offering common core courses (i.e. humanities, social sciences, languages, and PE), language courses and STEM fundamental courses. CES encourages faculty to conduct research in the fields of teaching and learning, innovative pedagogy and cognitive sciences. The College is composed of six divisions, including: Pillar of General Education (PGE), Pillar of STEM Education (STEM), Pillar of Language Education (PLE), Pillar of Cognitive Sciences (PCS), UG Teaching Labs (UGTL) and CES Office (CESO). CES is currently seeking applications for the position of Student Affairs Admin. Details are as follows.

一、崗位名稱
Student Affairs Administrative Officer 學(xué)生事務(wù)行政專員 (CESO)

二、工作職責(zé)
該職位為學(xué)院學(xué)生事務(wù)提供行政支持,確保學(xué)生相關(guān)工作的日常運(yùn)行順暢。具體職責(zé)包括但不限于:
1.協(xié)助學(xué)生事務(wù)日常管理與咨詢服務(wù):接待和處理學(xué)生的各類學(xué)術(shù)、課程咨詢與申請;支持相關(guān)學(xué)生活動(dòng);處理與學(xué)生相關(guān)的官方流程與備案事宜。
2.協(xié)助學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)發(fā)展,協(xié)調(diào)開展相關(guān)行政支持:協(xié)助完成學(xué)生學(xué)業(yè)發(fā)展相關(guān)工作;完成相關(guān)信息的整理與匯總工作;配合學(xué)院與相關(guān)部門協(xié)調(diào)推進(jìn)學(xué)生工作。
3.學(xué)術(shù)咨詢小組行政支持:為學(xué)術(shù)咨詢小組提供行政支持,包括會(huì)務(wù)組織、數(shù)據(jù)收集、文件起草、協(xié)助師生溝通聯(lián)絡(luò)、檔案管理等工作。
4.其他工作:完成主管交辦的其他相關(guān)的任務(wù)。
This position provides administrative support for student affairs, ensuring the smooth daily operation of student-related work. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1.Assist in Daily Student Affairs Management & Advisory Services: Process and respond to student academic and course-related inquiries and applications. Provide administrative support for relevant student activities. Process official procedures and documentation related to students. Offer administrative assistance to the Academic Advisory Group.
2.Support Student Learning Development & Coordinate Administrative Tasks: Assist with tasks related to supporting student academic progression. Compile and summarize reports on relevant information and data. Collaborate with the other departments to coordinate student-related cases.
3.Offer administrative assistance to the Academic Advisory Panel, including organizing meetings, drafting documents, conducting student interviews, and managing archives.
4.Other duties: Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor.

1.本科或以上學(xué)歷,有高校行政或?qū)W生事務(wù)經(jīng)驗(yàn)者優(yōu)先。
2.核心能力要求:
1)溝通與理解能力:具備良好的溝通協(xié)調(diào)能力,能夠準(zhǔn)確理解需求并清晰傳遞信息,能夠在跨部門協(xié)作中有效推進(jìn)工作。
2)多線程工作能力:能夠同時(shí)處理多項(xiàng)任務(wù),確保各項(xiàng)工作的有序進(jìn)行。
3)執(zhí)行與解決問題的能力:能夠高效完成任務(wù),保持良好的工作節(jié)奏與質(zhì)量,具備系統(tǒng)化思維,能夠分析問題并提出可行的解決方案。
4)細(xì)致與責(zé)任心:對工作認(rèn)真負(fù)責(zé),關(guān)注細(xì)節(jié)并確保準(zhǔn)確性。
5)語言能力:具備良好的中英文書寫與口頭表達(dá)能力。
1.Bachelor’s degree or above; prior experience in higher education administration or course management is preferred.
2. Core Competencies:
1) Communication and Comprehension: Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to accurately understand requirements and convey information clearly; capable of working effectively across departments.
2) Multitasking Ability: Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring the orderly progress of all work.
3) Execution and Problem-Solving Skills: Able to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a consistent work rhythm and high-quality output. Possess systematic thinking skills to analyze problems comprehensively and propose feasible solutions.
4) Attention to Detail and Responsibility: Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility towards work, paying meticulous attention to details and ensuring accuracy in all tasks undertaken.
5) Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Chinese and English.
This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST(GZ) entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations.
